Founded by Ute and Jochen Berg as Ava-Tricot in 1974, the name of the famous American actress Ava Gardner who took influence on an entire generation with her distinctive style, was the inspiration.
Ava Tricot quickly developed into a market-leading business for sophisticated Italian women’s knitwear fashion in the 70s and 80s whose products were to be found in almost all the high class retail stores.
