Senior Tourism Manager Wertheim Village (M/W)

 

Local and international partnerships

The Senior Tourism Manager is in charge of strategic local, national and international partnerships, and actively sells in the markets driving high-spending business footfall. He/she supports the Director Tourism by developing and executing KPI driven action plans for Ingolstadt Village and
Wertheim Village reaching European and non-European tourism revenue and footfall.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • With the Tourism Director, define the partnership strategy aligned with sales and footfall objectives for the German Villages
  • Build strong local partnerships and create business opportunities with following segments: airlines, financial services, car rental companies, tourist sights
  • Position Wertheim Village as key Shopping Destination attracting tourists from selected Partner Hotels in Frankfurt area
  • Build strong relationship and commercial occasions with local Tourism partners and international cultural associations in Frankfurt region
  • Responsible for design, execution and follow up of strategic actions plans for growing secondary markets (India, South Korea, Vietnam) for both German Villages in close cooperation with the Global Tourism team
  • Build ongoing relationship, drive footfall and create revenue streams with PCOs, DMCs, City Convention bureaus and convention centers
  • In charge of KPI and metrics driven analysis and reporting’s
  • Manage small team
  • Attend sales missions representing and selling the German Villages as part of the Collection of Villages in Europe

 

BACKGROUND & SKILLS:

  • Proven travel or commercial industry knowledge with a minimum of 6 –10 years’
  • International sales or partnership management experience within the tourism, airline or hospitality sector
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills, ability to effectively deal with a broad range of stakeholders and build effective relationships
  • Commercially driven, goal oriented with excellent negotiation skills and a drive to succeed
  • Ability to work under pressure and self-disciplined
  • Very good presentation skills and presence with a broad cosmopolitan mind-set
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in German and English, any additional languages a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce or similar customer database a plus
  • The position is based in Wertheim Village and requires occasional travelling
